Our Process

The wonderful gardens of Ripley Castle, right here in the heart of Yorkshire, are where many of the botanicals for our Gin are grown. We even have a large Victorian Hot House where our tropical plants live.

OUR BOTANICAL GARDEN

Fresh botanicals are handpicked just before being taken personally to the distillery and placed into the stills. We are honoured to be working with such a fine establishment and we’re already working on using unique seasonal botanicals that can be found at Ripley Castle.

WITH OUR COPPER TWINS

Zac and Cassie, named after our oldest children, are designed to work perfectly with our recipes. Their bespoke shapes are not just pretty, they will also deliver the best efficiency to every distillation. The copper, beautiful in its intense and shiny colour, works in every batch to ensure smoothness and balance.

FINISHED EXCLUSIVELY WITH HARROGATE SPRING WATER

Unlike most distilleries, our spirits are diluted with 100% Harrogate Spring Water after distillation – nothing else. It’s an arduous task that involves the shipment of many 10 litre boxes of Harrogate’s Finest, but very much worth it! We are very proud to be the only distillery in the world to be authorised to use Harrogate Spring Water in our products.

OUR HONEY

The honey for our rum has been carefully chosen after meticulously tasting and experimenting with over 6 different local honeys. We found the best from an impressive array of the most amazing honey, one which would marry the ingredients of our Honey Harrogate Rum perfectly.

We’re very lucky to have our very own, beautiful vintage Tipple Truck. Look out for it around Harrogate! We can personally deliver locally with no extra cost for you, and we have everything in place to send our Tipples further afield.
